It is almost the size of Earth with similar density and mass due to which together these are called "Twin Sisters". Its diameter is 95% and the mass is 85% of that of Earth's respectively. 
At its closest, it is 38 million kilometres while 200 million kilometres away from Earth at its farthest point.

In astrology, it represents Bhrigu Astrology. Just as Jupiter is considered as Dev Guru (Teacher of Devas), Venus is considered as Teacher of Demons. It is the planet related to legacy.
